Sumbawa Barat, January 23, 2023 – PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN) receives an SNI ISO 450001:2018 certificate regarding Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SMK3) from PT SUCOFINDO. The handover was conducted by PT SUCOFINDO Commercial Director Darwin Abas to AMMAN Site Director Wudi Raharjo and witnessed directly by I Gede Putu Aryadi, the West Nusa Tenggara’s Head of Manpower and Transmigration Office. This certificate was awarded in commemorating the National Month of Occupational Health and Safety (K3) on January 12, 2023, with the theme “Realization of Decent Work with a Culture of Occupational Health and Safety to Support Business Continuity in Every Workplace.”

AMMAN’s Site Director Wudi Raharjo said that implementing K3 is AMMAN’s commitment. “The implementation of OSH in every business process in a sustainable manner is the key to creating a safe and healthy Batu Hijau mine. By doing so, we can identify hazards, risk assessment and proper control,” said Wudi. Therefore, Wudi also encouraged AMMAN employees to actively participate in all activities during the National K3 Month as a form of commitment and support for Occupational Health & Safety.

┬áPT SUCOFINDO Commercial Director Darwin Abas appreciated AMMAN for successfully obtaining the SMK3 certificate. “For this success, we would like to say congratulations to AMMAN. We hope that in the future, PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara can continue to maintain its commitment to implementing SMK3 in every business process,” said Darwin.

Darwin added that by obtaining a certificate and implementing SMK3, it was able to facilitate AMMAN in managing and mitigating risks. “The desired goals and results from implementing SMK3 are preventing injuries and work-related illnesses to employees, as well as providing a safe and healthy workplace,” said Darwin. Furthermore, Darwin is optimistic that AMMAN will be able to maintain its commitment to sustainably implementing SMK3 in various lines of work.

Head of SBU Certification and Eco Framework Budi Utomo stated that PT SUCOFINDO could serve AMMAN for surveillance audits, which will be carried out two times a year in accordance with ERM (Enterprise Risk Management). “Renewal of certification with a new scope is in accordance with the operational development plan at AMMAN. Additionally, we can support sustainability actions at AMMAN, through energy audit services and SNI ISO 50001:2018 energy management system certification, greenport certification, green/gold PROPER, green building certification and calculation of carbon absorption for mangrove conservation programs,” added Budi.

In addition, for the coverage of the West Nusa Tenggara area, PT SUCOFINDO, through the Benete Service Unit, will continue to be committed to providing the best service for AMMAN. “Especially with AMMAN’s plan to expand the mining area at the Elang site to support the smelter, we are ready to help according to the services that we have,” said PT Sucofindo Head of SBU Mineral Suprapto.

Furthermore, the Head of PT SUCOFINDO Denpasar Branch Rusdi Palureng, explained that UP Benete is one of the aegis of PT SUCOFINDO Denpasar Branch. “The operational scope of the SUCOFINDO Denpasar branch office covers 41 regencies/cities in the provinces of Bali, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), one of which is the Benete and Lombok service areas,” said Rusdi.
