Generating Cleaner Energy

AMMAN is constructing a state-of-the-art 450 MW steam and gas power plant (combined cycle power plant - CCPP) to ensure a reliable energy supply for our copper smelter and PMR facilities as well as expanding mining and processing operations. We are transitioning our power generation from coal and diesel fuel to Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), cleaner energy sources.

To support the 450 MW CCPP, AMMAN has established PT Amman Nusantara Gas (ANG), a subsidiary entrusted with designing, constructing, and operating the LNG Storage and Regasification Terminal in Benete Bay, West Sumbawa Regency. This transition underscores AMMAN's commitment to decarbonization efforts, aligning with global initiatives for a cleaner economy amid rising demand for copper products.
