PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (PT AMNT) has been granted an export quota of 989,011 Wet Metric Tons (WMT) of copper concentrate, higher than the 579,444 WMT allotted for the previous year. The Ministry of Trade issued the Export Extension Letter (SPE). Based on a recommendation from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), The export quota is effective for one year from 31 March 2022 to 31 March 2023.
AMNT President Director Rachmat Makkasau explained that the export quota is equivalent to the amount proposed in the AMNT Work Plan and Budget (RKAB) for 2022. “We thank the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for issuing the recommendations and the Ministry of Trade for granting our request to increase our export quota. The new quota gives us the ability to provide even more support to national economic growth and regional development,” said Rachmat.
The new export quota reflects the increasing productivity of the Batu Hijau mine. In addition, enhancements in Occupational Health and Safety (K3) and Mining Operational Safety (KO) protocols, such as placing cameras in haul trucks with the jigsaw application to monitor compliance with speed limits and smart badge technology with GPS for real-time monitoring of employee positions in high-risk zones.
