AMMAN Sent 12 young KSB Footballers to PSS Sleman Academy in Yogyakarta

PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN) together with PSS Sleman continues to trained U-15 Footballers of West Sumbawa (KSB). Around 80 young athletes selected by the PSSI KSB, and PSS Sleman District Associations (Askab) attended a two-day Coaching Clinic (9-10 May 2023) at three football fields: Maluk, Benete, and Sekongkang. For this clinic PSS Sleman brought three professional footballers: Saddam Gaffar, Dimas Fani, and Ifan Nanda.

The acting chairman of KSB Football Association (PSSI ASKAB KSB) Amar Nurmansyah expressed his enthusiasm for this clinic. “AMMAN has initiated such an extraordinary programme to empower football in KSB. This programme can help young people develop their athletic talents, especially in football. We really appreciate it and hope that the participants will prepare themselves in the best way and compete in sports,” said Amar.

AMMAN Vice President of Social Impact Priyo Pramono explained that the Coaching Clinic is a component of the company’s Community Development and Empowerment program, under the umbrella of #Sports4Development. “This flagship program provides a place for extraordinary self-development through sports and football. The opportunity to train with a professional team will certainly provide insight and extraordinary experience regarding hard work, work ethic, independence, and teamwork. We hope our young footballers will make the most of this opportunity and will make West Sumbawa proud. We will monitor the success of this program, with good results leading to expanding the program in the future,” Added Priyo.

He also explained that the top twelve Coaching Clinic participants were selected to train for one year at the PSS Sleman Development Center through the AMMAN Football Fellowship program. This program includes formal education as well as athletic training. The program participants are:

  • Muftin Al Mufti Anam – SMPN 6 Seteluk
  • Nabil Nanda Wijaya – SMPN 1 Seteluk
  • Hendra – SMPN 1 Sekongkang
  • Ramdani Saputra – SMPN 1 Poto Tano
  • M. Ridho Hamdani – SMPN 1 Maluk
  • M. Nabil Fitrah – SMPN 1 Seteluk
  • Gibran Zaky – SMPN 1 Seteluk
  • Irgi Ahmad – SMPN 1 Poto Tano
  • Duta Pahluwa Duana – SMPN 1 Taliwang
  • Panji Dwinata – SMPN 6 Seteluk
  • Ariel Agus Sopyan Britama – SMPN 1 Seteluk
  • Michael Gabriel Lele – SMPN 1 Maluk

AMMAN forged this cooperation with PSS Sleman because the club produces players sufficiently skillful to be accepted by the National Team. The PSS Development Center also conducts an early childhood development program which has produced several athletes playing in the first tier of national football competition. The location, which is in the special region of Yogyakarta, will also facilitate a quality education for the young athletes, helping them to develop the mental as well as physical skills needed to become competitive footballers.
