WEST SUMBAWA, 22 August 2023 – PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN) organized a series of finals for the West Sumbawa Regency Professional Football League (Liga KSB) 2023 season, which commenced in February 2023. The finals, held on 19-20 August at the Gibraltar Football Field, resulted five winning teams from each category: Gelora Mura FC as the Liga-1 champion, Goa FC as the Liga-2 champion, Taliwang FC as the Women’s U-18 League champion, Taliwang as the champion of the Men’s U-15 League, and MD United as the champion of the Disability League.
The Regent of West Sumbawa and Chairman of ASKAB PSSI KSB Dr. Ir. H. W. Musyafirin, M.M., witnessed the final match and expressed his appreciation for AMMAN’s efforts in prioritizing the development of local human capital and fostering synergy with stakeholders in KSB through the KSB League.
“This achievement is closely tied to the performance of the existing management, as well as the unwavering support from AMMAN as the main sponsor. On behalf of the West Sumbawa government, we extend our gratitude to all club coaches, supporters, the Asian Soccer Academy (ASA) Foundation, and all committees who contributed to the development of KSB football,” he stated. He also emphasized that the dream of a KSB-born national footballer is now closer to reality. “Our hope is for KSB to nurture a generation capable of competing both at the national and international levels,” added Musyafirin.
AMMAN Vice President of Social Impact, Priyo Pramono, emphasized that AMMAN fully supports the Liga KSB for fostering local human capital development, through sports activities as part of the #Sports4Development program. “Community Development and Empowerment (Pengembangan dan Pemberdayaan Masyarakat or PPM) is one of the focus of AMMAN’s social responsibility initiatives. With the KSB League, we aspire to provide equal opportunities to young KSB talent to reach their full potential through initiatives that promote personal and social development,” said Priyo.
Liga KSB Season 2023
With full support from the KSB government and ASKAB PSSI of West Sumbawa, AMMAN is committed to establish a competitive and inclusive football ecosystem. The KSB Professional Football League is a football competition with an age range of League-1 and League-2 for the public, women’s U-18, men’s U-15, and dedicated competitions for young talents with disabilities. This disability league is the first time it has been held, particularly for the Central Indonesia region.
AMMAN collaborates with ASA Foundation as its implementing partner, entrusted with the specific mandate of discovering, developing, and evaluating KSB youth football talent. The league was officially inaugurated in February 2023 and concluded on 20 August 2023.
