Sembalun, October 9, 2026 - PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMAN) has announced the winners of the Cerita Sasambo 2026 journalism competition. Now in its second year, the competition received 277 entries from 111 journalists, presenting diverse perspectives on inspiring stories behind the mining industry. The 2026 edition also marked a new chapter for Cerita Sasambo, as the competition expanded to the national level for the first time, reflecting growing enthusiasm and participation among media professionals.
The Cerita Sasambo 2026 Awards Night was held in Sembalun, East Lombok, an iconic destination that represents the natural beauty and rich identity of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB). Located at the foot of Mount Rinjani, Sembalun brought together journalists from NTB and across Indonesia to celebrate their work and exchange experiences.
AMMAN Vice President of Corporate Communications Kartika Octaviana expressed her appreciation and congratulations to all Cerita Sasambo 2026 participants.
“This year, we witnessed extraordinary enthusiasm from journalists in both NTB and across Indonesia, with hundreds of journalistic works advancing to the judging stage. We regard every entry as a valuable contribution to enriching the information available to the public and deepening public understanding of the various dynamics within the mining industry. Once again, congratulations to the winners of Cerita Sasambo 2026, and to all participants who contributed their finest work,” Kartika said.
The entries submitted this year reflected the breadth of perspectives on the mining industry, covering not only operations and technology, but also environmental issues, economic development, human capital development, and the evolving dynamics within communities.
Kartika added, “Through their diligence in gathering information and their ability to craft compelling narratives, participants produced works that were not only informative, but also helped the public understand complex issues through perspectives that were more relatable and human-centered.”
Although Cerita Sasambo 2026 has concluded, the stories it has generated will continue. Each journalistic work produced by the participants will contribute to a broader public understanding of developments in the mining industry, the use of technology, environmental management, and the range of social initiatives growing alongside communities.
Amid Sembalun’s cool evening air, the warmth shared by participants and award recipients served as an inspiration to continue creating meaningful work and telling impactful stories. Cerita Sasambo 2026 has come to an end, but the commitment to producing high-quality, balanced journalism that benefits society will continue.
