AMMAN Launches ‘Cerita Sasambo’ 2026 Journalism Competition
Following a successful debut in 2025, PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN) is once again hosting the Cerita Sasambo Journalism Competition in 2026. Now featuring both NTB and National media categories, the competition aims to engage a wider network of journalists in producing high-quality, impactful stories that showcase the progress, opportunities, and human stories shaping West Nusa Tenggara.

As one of Indonesia’s largest copper and gold mining companies, AMMAN recognizes the vital role of the media in enhancing public understanding of the mining industry, including technological innovation, sustainable practices, and the sector’s contributions to economic and community development.

“Cerita Sasambo is inspired by the names of the three major ethnic groups of West Nusa Tenggara: Sasak, Samawa, and Mbojo. Through this competition, we hope to encourage the creation of journalistic works that explore the dynamics of the mining industry from NTB and bring these stories to audiences across Indonesia. We believe quality journalism plays an important role in broadening public perspectives through accurate, insightful, and well-researched information. This year, we are introducing two competition tracks, one for journalists in NTB and another for journalists from across Indonesia, enabling stories, best practices, and regional perspectives to reach a wider audience,” said Kartika Octaviana, Vice President of Corporate Communications at AMMAN.
