AMMAN Initiates Skill Development Program for Local NTB Talents

AMMAN, the second largest copper-gold mine in Indonesia, is fully committed to investing in the development of a skilled workforce. To foster a local pool of proficient mining professionals, AMMAN has introduced a Skill Development Program for talents in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), with a primary focus on the fields of Auto Electric Technician and Diesel Engine Mechanic.

This program is an integral part of AMMAN’s employee-recruitment process, offering prospective workers pre-employment technical training. After a rigorous selection process, 34 young individuals were selected to participate in the program. Twenty of them will undergo an 18-month training program as Auto Electric Technicians, while the remaining 14 will be trained as Diesel Engine Mechanics for one year.

The inauguration of the AMMAN Skill Development Program on October 16, 2023, saw the presence of Slamet Riadi, the Secretary of the West Sumbawa Department of Labor & Transmigration, along with representatives from AMMAN. As one of the leading mining companies in Indonesia, with a seven-year presence in NTB, AMMAN remains committed to cultivating a highly skilled and competitive workforce in the areas surrounding its operations. This commitment is integral to the legacy AMMAN aims to create in synergy with the local government.

By supporting technical training programs in the region, AMMAN not only invests in the development of skilled workers but also contributes to the growth and prosperity of the communities where it operates. This initiative underscores AMMAN’s dedication to operational excellence and the aspiration to establish a legacy of best.
