PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN), one of Indonesia’s largest copper and gold mining companies, is sponsoring the 12th West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Sports Week (PORPROV XII NTB) 2026. Through this support, AMMAN seeks to broaden the impact of PORPROV beyond a sporting competition, positioning it as a platform for communities to celebrate regional potential through sports, arts and culture, and local economic activities.
AMMAN Vice President of Policy & Permitting and Social Impact, Priyo Pramono, stated that the company’s support for PORPROV XII NTB 2026 reflects its commitment to growing alongside the community, particularly through sports development, economic empowerment, and the preservation of local culture.
“For AMMAN, PORPROV is not only a sports competition, but also a platform that brings together the spirit of achievement, collaboration, and regional pride. We are proud to support the implementation of PORPROV XII NTB 2026, while also seeing AMMAN employees participate as athletes in several sports disciplines,” said Priyo.
Several AMMAN employees are also taking part as athletes in various sports, including golf, archery, boxing, aerosport, and swimming. Their participation reflects AMMAN’s spirit in supporting talent development, while encouraging a balance between professional excellence, a healthy lifestyle, and the pursuit of individual interests and potential.
Aligned with the Spirit of AMMAN’s Community Development and Empowerment Program
AMMAN’s involvement in PORPROV XII NTB 2026 is aligned with its Community Development and Empowerment Program (PPM), particularly through the Sports for Development approach, which places sports as a means to help build character and unlock the potential of younger generations. This approach has been implemented through various sports development initiatives in West Sumbawa, including capacity-building programs for coaches, referees, and local sports clubs.
At the same time, this initiative is also in line with the Economic Empowerment pillar of AMMAN’s PPM program, which focuses on MSME development and the preservation of local culture through various empowerment programs. One example is the preservation of traditional weaving practices through efforts to improve production quality and strengthen entrepreneurship among community groups.
Through these programs, AMMAN aims to support the development of communities with dynamic social, cultural, and economic ecosystems, while opening broader opportunities for local communities to grow in the future.
PORPROV XII NTB 2026 is a provincial multi-sport event organized by the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI) of West Nusa Tenggara Province. Held once every four years, the event serves as an important platform for developing regional athletes and as part of the preparation toward the 22nd National Sports Week (PON XXII) Nusa Tenggara 2028.
