AMMAN Wins PRISMA Award, Strong Human Rights and Sustainability Commitment
Jakarta, 24 September 2025 – PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN), one of Indonesia's largest copper and gold mining companies, has received the PRISMA Award from the Indonesian Ministry of Human Rights – making it one of only eight companies in the country to earn this prestigious recognition. The award highlights AMMAN’s strong commitment and compliance with Human Rights (HAM) principles through the Business and Human Rights Risk Assessment System (PRISMA), a government-designed instrument encouraging businesses to align with international frameworks while strengthening national investment competitiveness.

AMMAN scored 80 in the assessment, placing the company in the ‘Green’ category — the highest level of business compliance with human rights standards. The PRISMA standards, which are aligned with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Guidelines, reflect AMMAN’s consistent commitment to operating at the highest standards, both nationally and internationally.

AMMAN’s Vice President of Corporate Communications, Kartika Octaviana, stated that this achievement is a testament to AMMAN’s commitment to systematically managing human rights risks, protecting stakeholders, and integrating sustainability principles into its business governance. “We sincerely appreciate the Ministry of Human Rights for presenting this award to AMMAN. We believe that respect for human dignity is at the core of everything we do. This recognition encourages us to continue respecting and protecting the human rights of everyone impacted by our operations, including employees, surrounding communities, business partners, and other stakeholders,” said Kartika.

The award was granted based on a comprehensive assessment of 12 key aspects, including the company’s human rights policies, fair labor practices, and strong commitment to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). The evaluation also covered privacy and anti-discrimination policies, environmental management, and resolving agrarian and indigenous community issues. Other aspects assessed included impactful corporate social responsibility programs, reliable grievance mechanisms, responsible supply chain management, and the strategic management of human rights risks.

The Minister of Human Rights, Natalius Pigai, affirmed that rapid economic development must go hand in hand with respect for human dignity. “The business world has a moral and social responsibility to ensure its operations adhere to human rights principles,” he stated at the award ceremony. He added that this commitment not only strengthens a company’s reputation but also builds public trust and creates a healthy, productive work environment.
