AMMAN Vocational Excellence School Class of 2025 Send-Off Empowering Future Talent of West Sumbawa and Sumbawa
West Sumbawa, 9 July 2025 – A heartfelt atmosphere of pride and emotion filled the send-off ceremony for the AMMAN Scholars 2025. Held in West Sumbawa Regency (KSB), the event was officiated by the Vice Regent of KSB, H. Hanipah, S.Pt., M.M.Inov., and highlighted the strong commitment of one of Indonesia’s largest copper and gold mining companies, PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMMAN), to advancing the quality of human capital. This initiative aims to equip local youth with the competencies needed to thrive in the industries of the future.

In her remarks, H. Hanipah expressed his gratitude for the Vocational Excellence School Scholarship program, which has opened up valuable opportunities for the region’s youth. She extended special appreciation to AMMAN for its ongoing commitment to human resource development and expressed hope that the program would continue in the years to come. He also encouraged the scholarship recipients to remain passionate and committed to pursuing their education.

“You are the best ambassadors of our region. Make the most of this golden opportunity. Study diligently, develop your full potential, and return to contribute to the growth of our homeland. The local government is immensely proud of your achievements and hopes this program continues to nurture future generations who will drive progress to West Sumbawa and Sumbawa,” he stated.

The AMMAN Scholars program is a tangible manifestation of AMMAN's strategic step to participate in developing and improving human resource quality in KSB and Sumbawa Regency (KS). Priyo Pramono, Vice President of Social Impact at AMMAN, emphasized this program as a long-term investment for the future of West Sumbawa and Sumbawa.

"We believe that education is the key to progress, and through this program, we strive to open up the widest possible opportunities for the youth of West Sumbawa and Sumbawa. We hope that AMMAN Scholars beneficiaries will pursue their education to the fullest and make the most of their experiences at these top-tier schools, learning alongside peers from across Indonesia,” he said.

AMMAN Scholars 2025

This year marks the fifth year of the program’s implementation in KSB, demonstrating AMMAN's consistency and long-term commitment to supporting education. Furthermore, it is the second year the program has reached Sumbawa Regency, expanding its positive impact across the region. 

AMMAN has partnered with seven of the most reputable vocational schools (SMKs) in Kudus, Malang, and Ponorogo. This year’s collaboration offers 12 vocational programs with strong employment prospects, including:

  • SMK Raden Umar Said (RUS) Kudus: 3D Animation, Graphic Design, Graphic Engineering, Software and Game Development (PPLG)
  • SMK NU Maarif Kudus: Electrical Power Installation Engineering (TITL)
  • SMK NU Banat Kudus: Fashion Design
  • SMK PGRI 1 Kudus: Beauty and SPA
  • SMK Wisudha Karya: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering
  • SMK Brantas Karangkates Malang: Electrical Engineering
  • SMK PGRI 2 Ponorogo: Heavy Equipment Engineering
This year, 470 students applied for the scholarship. Following a rigorous four-stage selection process, including motivational essays, academic potential and psychological assessments, panel interviews, and a medical examination, 46 top candidates were selected. This brings the total number of beneficiaries since the program's inception to 239, of whom 78 have graduated and the remainder are still actively studying.

More than just providing access to quality education for the youth of West Sumbawa and Sumbawa, this program empowers them to become pioneers of change and agents of development, helping to shape a more advanced and prosperous future for the region.
